The elevator at Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla has been fully restored and made operational after necessary repairs and safety upgrades.

Medical Superintendent, Dr. Parvaiz Masoodi, said the delay occurred as a crucial component, the elevator rope, had to be procured from outside Kashmir.

“Despite the unavoidable delay, every effort was made to restore the facility at the earliest. Safety concerns have been rectified, and the faulty run contactor replaced. The elevator is now operating optimally and safely,” he said.
