HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hastings American Legion is set to host its annual Veteran’s Day program Tuesday morning at the Masonic Temple Auditorium in downtown.
The program will feature patriotic music from the Hastings High School band, posting of colors, the National Anthem, which will be sang by Silver Lake 9th grader Elisha Johnson, the pledge of allegiance and the invocation from Pastor Remmers from the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and a wreath laying ceremony.
The keynote speaker this year will be State Senator Dan Lonowski from District 33, who is also a veteran.
Adjutant from American Legion Post 11, Dick Lebeau said having Senator Lonowski as keynote speaker is special for many reasons.
