BENGALURU: Following the car blast case near Red Fort metro station in Delhi, which left at least eight people dead and several injured, the police across Karnataka increased security at vital installations, tourist and public places on Tuesday.

The Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru witnessed high alert and security was tightened with additional CISF personnel deployed. Police were closely monitoring vehicles arriving at the airport, and passengers are being thoroughly screened at departure and arrival gates.

The CISF personnel in plainclothes are also conducting checks. The airport’s parking areas and incoming vehicles are under surveillance. Security has been beefed up across the airport, with police patrols intensified.
