GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Heavy traffic is anticipated in downtown Greenville during the Greenville Swamp Rabbits’ annual School Day game on Wednesday.
Officials said Bon Secours Wellness Arena will welcome more than 10,000 students and teachers from across the Upstate. Doors open at 9 a.m. and the puck drop is set for 10:30 a.m.
According to organizers, school groups will begin arriving early in the morning and buses will depart shortly after the game ends. As a result, traffic congestion is expected to be incredibly high in the vicinity of the Arena and adjacent corridors from morning through early afternoon.
Drivers are being asked to allow yourself extra travel time if moving through this part of downtown Wednesday morning and early afternoon.
