Sarit Ray, 40, has taken to social media (@saritray on Threads) to share a picture of the note that was unexpectedly slipped under his door. It came from his neighbor, explaining that they were going to be away for three weeks—but here’s where it gets intriguing.

The neighbor asked Ray if he could “occasionally water the plants ” in their absence. That might seem ordinary enough, but Ray, who resides in Singapore, told Newsweek that he “didn’t know her” before reading this note.
