: The Special Judge (POCSO), Pasighat, has convicted Bomdo Tali and sentenced him to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment in connection with a heinous case of sexual assault.

According to police reports, a written FIR was lodged on November 27, 2023, by the victim, identified as Miss A, alleging that the accused had committed rape upon her. Following the complaint, a case was registered under Sections 342, 354B, and 376 of the IPC, read with Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, at the Women Police Station, Pasighat.

The investigation was led by Inspector Ojum Riba, then Officer-in-Charge of the Women Police Station, Pasighat. Her thorough and professional probe ensured that the case was pursued with due diligence, leading to the conviction of the accused
