Udupi, Nov 11: The Konkan Railway has collected Rs 12.81 crore in fines from ticketless and unauthorized passengers over the past six months as part of a special campaign to curb ticketless travel on its routes.
According to a release from Konkan Railway, between April and September 2025, a total of 5,493 special ticket inspection drives were conducted across the railway network. During this period, 1,82,781 passengers were found travelling without valid tickets or authorization. The staff collected Rs 12.81 crore from them, which included ticket fares and penalties.

The campaign continued in October as well, during which 920 special inspections were conducted. A total of 42,645 ticketless or unauthorized passengers were detected
