Apple Original Films has confirmed a six-figure deal for a movie adaptation of a sci-fi novel that hasn't even been published yet. Apple's movie productions have included a number of high-profile movies in recent years. This includes Ridley Scott's Napoleon in 2023, as well as being a co-distributor for the critically acclaimed F1 earlier this year.
Now, Deadline reports that Apple Original Films has acquired the manuscript for Fallen Astronaut by J S Mayank and David Carlyle, a sci-fi novel that hasn't even been published yet. Apple made a six-figure deal for the book, with the adaptation being produced by Scott Glassgold from 1201 Films. Authors Mayank and Carlyle will serve as executive producers as well.
