The Detroit Lions have rolled back into the top 10 -- as high as No. 4 -- in this week’s power rankings roundup.
Following their lopsided 44-22 Week 10 victory over the Washington Commanders, NFL writers across the country have pulled back on their previous trepidations about the Lions -- specifically their offense -- and that is thanks to Dan Campbell.
On Sunday, Campbell stripped offensive coordinator John Morton of his duties as play caller, taking over the role himself. As a result, the Lions scored on eight possessions -- five touchdowns and three field goals -- and totaled 546 yards.
One outlet still has the Lions ranked ninth overall, but like several others, agreed that Campbell stepping in to call the shots is something that should remain for the rest of this season, at least.
