FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Yesterday’s snowfall in Fort Wayne broke a nearly 100-year-old daily snowfall record. 2.7″ of snow was recorded yesterday which beats out the previous record of 1.2″ that was set back in 1928. This also marks the largest single day snow event in Fort Wayne since 6.2″ of snow fell almost 3 years ago on January 25, 2023!

Snow showers end today, and with it temperatures will slowly return to normal. Gusty conditions remain in the forecast which will make wind chills frigid through the day tomorrow.

Wind gusts could peak at 30mph between today and tomorrow with wind chills still feeling chilly into tomorrow mornings. Temperatures will return to the 50s and 60s for the end of the week and weekend. Our next rain chance does not seem to arrive until Sunday.
