As of Thursday afternoon, more than 1,000 flights have been canceled, even after the government shutdown ended Wednesday night.
Below is a current, updating, searchable table of the 100 airports seeing the most cancellations today.
The cancellations come as the Federal Aviation Administration ordered a reduction in flights due to staffing and safety concerns during the historically long government shutdown. The reduction began Nov. 7 .
The number of overall delays and cancellations has been declining since Sunday's spike, but weekends typically have more air travel traffic.
There have already been more flight cancellations as of 3 p.m. on Thursday than the entirety of Wednesday.
Among the top U.S. air carriers, Southwest Airlines travelers have faced the most cancellations
