The Sindh government has extended Section 144 across the province for another month, continuing the ban on public gatherings, rallies, processions, and protests.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department, the ban, which was initially imposed on October 12, prohibits all forms of protests and assemblies of more than five people under Section 144(6) of the Criminal Procedure Code.
The order stated that the measure has been taken to maintain public order and prevent groups from assembling in a manner deemed harmful to public safety in Sindh.
The notification has been circulated to all commissioners, DIGs, SSPs, deputy commissioners, and the director general of Sindh Rangers, as well as to the chief secretary and the principal secretaries to the chief minister and governor,
