CARTERSVILLE, Ga. — A juvenile was shot and killed in Cartersville on Sunday, police say.
The Cartersville Police Department said in a release that officers responded to a location on Weaver Street for an "unknown problem" and discovered the juvenile male shot.
"The juvenile male was was transported to an area hospital and later succumbed to his injuries," the release said.
There was no specific age range given for the juvenile.
"At this point, this is an active investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Cartersville Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division at 770-387-5690," the department said.
There was no other immediate information available.
