ARGYLE, Wis. (WMTV) - A group of veterans in Argyle is an example of a lifetime of service. American Legion Post 251 gives back to organizations within the Village of Argyle and to veterans in Southern Wisconsin.
Mike Raab, the Commander for the American Legion Post 251, said the group is always looking for ways to improve their own backyard. Most recently, the American Legion Post 251, spearheaded efforts to raise $50,000 in order to spruce up the shelter house adjacent to the public park.
“We do give back pretty much 100% of everything that we bring in,” said Raab. “It’s very special. It’s nice to be able to have the community to show us gratitude.”
Some of the projects that the American Legion Post 251 are involved with include maintaining veteran markers at seven area cemeteries and
