BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Communities across the Brazos Valley are holding ceremonies and different celebrations in honor of Veterans Day today.

The federal holiday is dedicated to honoring all military veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

Among the commemorations, the VFW Post 4692 in Bryan teamed up with the American Legion in Bryan for a combined Veterans Day program starting at 10:30 a.m. at the American Legion building, located off Highway 21.

Organizers said the event is open to the public and is expected to draw a significant turnout from the veteran community.
