WASHINGTON — Nearly 1 million prosecco bottles sold under Costco's Kirkland brand are under recall due to a possible risk of laceration.
Federal regulators issued a safety notice on Nov. 6, announcing a recall of 941,000 bottles from F&F Fine Wines International Inc. because they can break or shatter. The Kirkland Signature Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG bottles were sold between April 2025 and August 2025 for $8. The recalled prosecco comes in green bottles with purple foil and a purple label.
The bottles were sold at Costco stores in 12 states, including Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin. The recalled prosecco can be identified by UPC 196633883742 and Costco Item Number 1879870, according to the
