The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Supporting Foundation awarded a one-year $1 million grant to Ideastream Public Media to ensure continuation of humanities programming on WKSU, WVIZ and WCLV in fiscal year 2026 following the loss of federal funding through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, according to a news release.

This grant was approved in August and will enable Ideastream Public Media to continue and expand its humanities programming across its television, radio and digital platforms, as well as underscoring the Mandel Supporting Foundation’s commitment to advancing public understanding of history, culture and the arts in Northeast Ohio, according to the release.
