An operation by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents took place Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 11, in town on Water Street when a male was taken into custody at about 2:30 p.m. near Miller Street.

The incident occurred following a day-long wait by ICE agents in the area and came among the derisive words of protesters from both Warren and nearby municipalities.

The mere presence of ICE agents earlier Tuesday throughout the Water Street neighborhood spurred a swift, spontaneous and soaring response from residents and area activists opposed to the raids being done locally and nationally.
