Tata Trusts has appointed Neville Tata, son of Tata Trusts chairperson Noel Tata, and group veteran Bhaskar Bhat as trustees of the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust (SDTT), The Economic Times reported.

At a meeting held on Tuesday, the board also revised trustee Venu Srinivasan’s lifetime tenure to a three-year term following a new Maharashtra government rule that limits the number of lifetime trustees.

The change carries direct implications for Tata Trusts’ long-standing governance structure, added the report.

The move strengthens Noel Tata’s influence within the group and marks the rise of Neville Tata, 32, into a key leadership role within the Tata ecosystem.
