VANCOUVER - Canucks goalie Thatcher Demko will return to the net Tuesday when Vancouver hosts the Winnipeg Jets.
Vancouver head coach Adam Foote confirmed after morning skate that the 29-year-old all-star will get the start.
Demko has not played since a 5-4 overtime win against the Predators on Nov. 3 in Nashville.
Foote said on Friday the goalie was taking care of himself in a season with a condensed schedule, but did not say he was dealing with an injury.
Demko is 5-4-0 this season with a .912 save percentage and a 2.57 goals-against average.
The six-foot-four, 192-pound goalkeeper missed much of last season after suffering a knee injury in Game 1 of Vancouver’s first-round playoff series against the Predators in the 2023-24 campaign.
