Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) is sounding the alarm on the leadership of the Democratic Party as calls mount for Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) to resign.
Schumer is facing sharp criticism from a slate of House Democrats who are speaking out after eight senators , including Fetterman, broke ranks to vote with Republicans on ending the longest-ever government shutdown . In a 60-40 vote, the Senate advanced a legislative package on Sunday that would fund the federal government through Jan. 30. It also includes three longer-term appropriations bills to fund food aid, veterans programs and agricultural initiatives through next September.
