Brian Kelly might be fired, but he is not going away quietly.

Late last month, the LSU Tigers elected to get rid of Kelly after an ugly 49-25 loss to No. 3-ranked Texas A&M, the Tigers’ third defeat in four games.

“When Coach Kelly arrived at LSU four years ago, we had high hopes that he would lead us to multiple SEC and national championships during his time in Baton Rouge,” LSU athletic director Scott Woodward said in a statement released by the school.

Now, Kelly is firing back.

Brian Kelly filed a lawsuit against LSU, making the shocking claims that the school is attempting to avoid its $54 million buyout for the coach after allegedly telling Kelly’s representatives it has not officially terminated him.
