A Connecticut fugitive wanted for the murder of another man in Waterbury earlier this year was captured Monday in Hartford, authorities said.
Cops said Gerard Brown , 45, was tracked down after traveling through multiple states prior to his arrest, the Connecticut Post reported. Brown, a Waterbury resident, was nabbed on Shultas Place in Hartford.
Brown was wanted for the murder of Frank Garay , a 29-year-old Hartford native, on Sept. 15. Garay was found dead in the street that night from a gunshot wound.
Investigators have described the killing as a targeted operation carried out by Brown and another man, LaTroy Young, who acted as a getaway driver. Young was arrested one week after the murder; he was out on parole and traced to the scene through an ankle monitor.
