Southeast Houston’s Edgebrook neighborhood has been dealing with mounds of trash littering the area for months, despite scheduled city pickup days.

Residents told KPRC 2’s Deven Clarke that the growing trash problem is not only an eyesore but also a serious health concern.

“This has been here since August, so it’s been like—what, almost four months?” Edgebrook resident Tania Ortega said. “It is very frustrating. It makes us look bad, like we’re the ones that just have a mess, but I mean, as you can see, we keep our grass pretty clean and everything.”
