After a few days of warmer temperatures in New Mexico, a storm system has its eyes set on the state.

A storm system with rain and the possibility of snow could impact parts of New Mexico as early as this weekend.

Rain is possible in western and northern New Mexico on Saturday and Sunday. Some areas of the northern mountains could see some snow as the storm system moves through.

Temperatures will cool off a bit as well in many parts of the state.
