Robbie Hummel played four seasons for Purdue basketball between 2007-12, scoring 1,772 points, hitting 38.9% of his 3-pointers and grabbing 862 rebounds for teams that won 105 games.
At one point in his recruitment from Valparaiso High School, he believed there was no way he'd play for the Boilermakers.
Hummel joined the " For Pete's Sake " podcast that was released Tuesday and relayed how, as a high school junior, he came to West Lafayette for a recruiting visit and scrimmaged against Purdue players.
"I had a visit that was pretty wild, in terms of the guys that were on the team," he said.
