Harvest Midstream announced Tuesday that it has finalized the purchase of the Kenai LNG facility in Nikiski — a move the company says will help provide more reliable energy for Southcentral Alaska.

CEO Jason Rebrook called the acquisition “another milestone” in advancing both Alaska’s and America’s energy infrastructure. He said it builds on recent progress, including the company’s first-ever North Slope LNG delivery to Fairbanks earlier this year.

The Kenai property spans approximately 100 acres and features large-scale LNG storage tanks and dock facilities capable of accommodating major shipping vessels. Harvest plans to utilize the site for importing liquefied natural gas in the near term, while preserving its future export potential to global markets.
