C asteel High School Athletic Director Kraig Leuschner notified families that girls volleyball coach Cory Chandler resigned on Oct. 24 during the middle of a successful season.

The Colts are currently 15-5 overall and 12-3 in their conference. No reason was given for the resignation.

“We want to inform you that Coach Chandler has resigned from his position as head volleyball coach,” Leuschner wrote. “This was a personal choice made by the coach.”

It was the end of a rocky relationship that had been brewing for a year, according to parents of the players. Some began complaining about Chandler in October of last year.
