Event will accept items citywide through Friday
The final day to donate items for this weekend's Surprise day of service is tomorrow.
The city is hosting a donation drive for projects that show gratitude and encouragement to deployed service members.
Community members are encouraged to donate items to be used during the event, such as puzzle books, body wash, sunscreen and chewing gum. A complete list of needed items are found at surpriseaz.gov/dayofservice .
Donations can be dropped off at the Surprise Regional Library, 16089 N. Bullard Ave.; Asante Library, 16755 W. Vereda Solana Drive; Surprise Senior Center, 15832 N. Hollyhock St.; and Sierra Montana Recreation Center, 14861 N. Spring Lane.
