A newly revealed batch of emails between Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell appears to show Epstein directly discussing Donald Trump and one of Epstein’s alleged victims. The messages, made public Wednesday morning by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, have intensified demands for the full release of Epstein-related documents.
In one 2011 email, Epstein wrote to Maxwell, calling Trump “the dog that hasn’t barked” and claiming that an alleged victim “spent hours at my house with him.” Maxwell replied simply, “I have been thinking about that.” The message appears to contradict Maxwell’s later statement in a 2025 prison interview, where she told Justice Department officials that she “didn’t recall ever seeing” Trump in Epstein’s home.
