MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- An officer and his drug-sniffing dog made a major bust on their first day on the job during a traffic stop on Interstate 5 in Merced County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, on Tuesday, K9 Jag alerted officers to the presence of narcotics during the stop.
Officers searched the trunk of the vehicle and found around 20 pounds of meth worth an estimated $272,400.
Both occupants in the vehicle were arrested.
