RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Drivers, bikers, and walkers in Richland County are seeing improvements along Sunset Drive, part of several projects funded by the Transportation Penny Tax. The $5.2 million project, celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, on Wednesday, Nov. 12, added a three-quarter-mile sidewalk connecting neighborhoods from Makeway Drive to Elmhurst Road.
“This is the first time a pedestrian improvement has been designed for this area,” said Mike Maloney, director of public works for Richland County.
