Target announced that it would lower the prices on 3,000 food, beverage and essential items starting in November to help customers save on essential products.
The announcement followed Target’s previous announcement that it would sell a Thanksgiving meal for four for under $20 .
"It's important work that will make a difference for families managing tight household budgets during the holidays. And it's work that builds on Target's legacy of strengthening communities through the way we run our business," executive vice president and chief merchandising officer of food, essentials and beauty Lisa Roath said in Target’s release about the prices.
Target also announced a $500,000 donation to Feeding America and its network of 200 food banks and 60,000 partner agencies throughout the count
