OTTAWA—Three critical minerals mines, a major liquefied natural gas facility and a hydro power plant in the Arctic are among the projects Prime Minister Mark Carney is expected to refer to the Liberal government’s Major Projects Office on Thursday, according to a list obtained by the Star.
In addition to the Crawford Nickel Project near Timmins, Ont., which the Star reported earlier this week is under serious consideration for referral to the office, the government is expected to refer the Ksi Lisims LNG (liquified natural gas) project to the Major Projects Office for possible designation.
