The Delaware County Sheriff's Office earned an accreditation of its civil division and was honored at the Wednesday, Nov. 12 Board of Supervisors meeting for its achievement.
New York State Sheriffs' Association Executive Director Peter Kehoe said that the accreditation is only given to departments that meet a strict set of standards and best practices. He said the county has an "outstanding sheriff's office" that has garnered respect not just locally, but throughout the state.
