DALLAS, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A person has died and another is in the hospital after a fire ripped through a Paulding County home Tuesday night.

According to officials, firefighters responded to the fire at a home on Flagler Way, just off Old Villa Rica Road, shortly after 9 p.m.

When they arrived, firefighters were up against flames shooting from the house with people still inside. They described the fire as fully engulfed in flames. A person has died and another is in the hospital after a fire ripped through a Paulding County home Tuesday night.

Officials say firefighters “made immediate entry, located occupants and removed the victims.” One of the victims died while the other was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
