CLEVELAND, Ohio — The northern lights could make another appearance across much of Ohio on Wednesday night as a powerful solar eruption reaches Earth, continuing a stretch of active space weather that dazzled skies across the United States earlier this week.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a G4 (severe) geomagnetic storm watch, saying another burst of charged particles from the sun may ignite vivid auroras as far south as the lower Great Lakes and the Ohio Valley late Wednesday into early Thursday.
