TYLER, Texas — A Texas College choir student is taking her talent from the classroom to the national stage by performing the national anthem at an NFL game.
Texas College choir student and Miss Sophomore Angel Cummings has been singing for as long as she can remember, using her voice to touch others through music —something she calls special. That passion recently opened a door she never expected.
"The Chiefs saw a video of me singing the national anthem at a Texas College football game," Angel Cummings said.
After about a month, that tag turned into a dream come true. The Kansas City Chiefs reached out, inviting Angel to sing the national anthem for their Dec. 7 primetime Sunday Night Football game.
