CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - WBTV received a tip early on Wednesday reporting that there were possible federal immigration officers at a local school.

Officials with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools said on Wednesday, Nov 12, that there has been no activity from federal immigration officers on school campuses.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools said they were aware of reports that officers from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, or ICE were in the Charlotte area.

Officials said they have not received official notice about any planned actions from ICE.
