DILWORTH, Minn. — Business owners along U.S. Highway 10 in Dilworth are calling for slower speeds to improve safety for customers. The current speed limit is 65 miles per hour.

The city's east side has seen significant growth. The Rail District welcomed its first three businesses in 2020-21 and now has nearly 10, with room for more. Tenants are scheduled to move into a new 72-unit apartment complex in January.

Chase Sawrey, owner of West Main Pizza, said he fully supports the safety of his customers.

"My customers and just the general drivers around here for the Rail District have a lot of issues as far as getting safely here and safely out of the district as well," Sawrey said.
