Tempe has two more developments to be voted on before the city council on Nov. 13 — both affordable and market-rate housing.
The Rio 2100 apartments, at 2132 S. Cameron Way, and Dorsey Station apartments, at 1320 East Apache, where a former Food City grocery store will be demolished to make way for housing, are both on the agenda.
“The fact that you’re looking for something to put in that space, thank you for that,” Councilmember Nikki Amburg said to Charles Huellmantel after his presentation for the Dorsey Station Project during the Nov 6 council meeting.
The council is required to have two hearings on both developments’ proposals, and the second one will be on Thursday. The city’s Development Review Commission first hears plans of new projects before voting to either recommend approva
