BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —
Attorney Jeremy Knowles is representing several individuals in a lawsuit against Aurora IV and Wellness, alleging that his clients paid for FDA-approved semaglutide or tirzepatide treatment but received unapproved substances instead.
Knowles said his clients were ultimately given a substance supplied by Vera Research, INC.
"It is not approved for use by humans or even veterinarians. It's a research-only substance," he said.
The lawsuit states Aurora IV and Wellness "promoted gray market trizepatide and semaglutide."
According to Knowles, his clients are experiencing a wide range of physical symptoms, including extreme headaches, nausea, and welts on the skin near injection sites. He noted that one of his clients is a cancer survivor and another has autoimmune issu
