BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —
Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School in Birmingham hosted a prayer vigil, uniting faith leaders, students, and city officials to call for peace and change in their community.
"We hope the students feel empowered to be agents of change," said an organizer. "Both taking action with community partners like the Restore program and Moms Demand Action."
Organizers said they want the day's message to inspire real change and continued community action.
