Oscar Piastri has described his Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend, where he committed a false start and crashed on the first lap, as "the worst weekend I've ever had in racing".

Speaking on F1's Beyond The Grid Podcast released Thursday morning (AEDT) after being recorded before last weekend's São Paulo Grand Prix, Piastri also suggested several factors, including McLaren's team orders from the previous race, may have contributed to it.

In a wide-ranging interview he spoke about his battle for the drivers' championship, advice he received from manager Mark Webber, and his thoughts on the upcoming Ashes series which begins in Perth next week.
