(KRON) -- A 21-year-old son stabbed his father inside their Berkeley home on Monday evening, the Berkeley Police Department (BPD) said. The stabbing happened around 5:45 p.m. at the family's residence on the 800 block of Hearst Avenue.
When BPD officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a 72-year-old man had been stabbed in his side, police said. BPD confirmed the victim is the father of the suspect. The suspect, identified as Issac Bolton, ran out of the home, according to BPD.
Student shot at Skyline High School in Oakland, suspects arrested
After searching the area, police found Bolton "hiding behind some bushes" about a half mile away on the 1700 block of Tenth Street. Bolton was taken into custody without further incident.
Bolton was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder,
