Trump's White House says the president plans to sign the bill reopening the US government after 43 days at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday night.
WASHINGTON – The House of Representatives voted Wednesday to end the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, moving past a political mess that has lasted for 43 days and left millions of Americans unable to afford food and derailed travel.
The measure now heads to the desk of President Donald Trump , whose expected signature around 9:45 p.m. will begin to resolve mass chaos across the country prompted by the crisis.
