ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A man is dead after getting shot in west Atlanta on Wednesday, police said.

Police responded to the area of 3021 Middleton Road SW in report of a person shot. There, they found a 35-year-old man with gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he later died from his injuries, according to police.

Police have not yet identified the victim or located a suspect.
