NASHVILLE, Tennessee — Vince Gill, one of country music’s most decorated artists, will be honored with the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 59th Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday, Nov. 19, according to The Hollywood Reporter .

The ceremony, airing live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on ABC, will include a tribute performance celebrating Gill’s five-decade career.

Gill joins a list of past honorees including Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn and George Strait.

According to a news release from the CMA awards , the award is presented to a figure in country music whose career has reached the highest levels of recognition and influence. The honor celebrates artists who have made a lasting impact both nationally and internationally through their music, charitable work
