CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Two people, including a Green Township police officer, are in the hospital after a crash involving a police cruiser, according to Hamilton County Police dispatch.

The crash happened Wednesday evening on westbound I-74, just beyond the North Bend Road exit.

Hamilton County dispatchers say an officer was assisting a disabled motorist when another vehicle crashed into the police cruiser.

The crash sent the officer and one other person involved to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Westbound I-74 beyond the North Bend Road exit will be closed “until further notice” while the Hamilton County Sheriff’s office investigates.
