“We've had some challenges with regard to just making sure that we are processing things timely and accurately,” began USD 253 Superintendent Dr. David McGehee.

McGehee was introducing an action item for a business operations and efficiency study to the USD 253 Board of Education, which was approved during the board’s regular meeting on Nov. 12.

The study, conducted by Kellen Adams of KJA Enterprises, LLC, will “ensure operational efficiency, fiscal accountability, and alignment with best practices in school business management.”

McGehee says the study will review not only the district's internal business operations but also its relationships with other businesses and entities with which it contracts.
